RODGERS AND HAMMERSTEIN’S CINDERELLA

CREEDE REPERTORY THEATRE, SUMMER 2023
The theme of Creede Repertory Theatre’s summer 2023 season was imagination and transformation. To celebrate this, the creative team stripped this version of Cinderella down to bare bones, theater magic. We framed the show as a troupe of actors creating a the story of Cinderella within an abandoned castle. I used playful, neutral costumes as bases and saved a few moments of real theater magic for Cinderella and the fairy godmother’s onstage transformations.
